Throwback Thursday: Volunteer Spotlight on Susanna Harrison

It's a great day at our Ronald McDonald House thanks to the smiles and hearts of our volunteers! Each day of the week brings a different group of volunteers to our House and today we have the "Thursday" bunch! In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, we found this 2005 issue of "Jubilee" newsletter featuring a spotlight on Susanna Harrison.

Susanna has been a long-time volunteer and supporter to our Ronald McDonald House, even before our House was built! Take a peek at her spotlight from 2005. A lot has changed since then, for Susanna, and our Ronald McDonald House! Susanna now has two grandchildren- Thomas and Mary Francis; is a part time resource teacher at Little Flower Catholic School; has traded in her "Friday Girl" volunteer status for the "Thursday Bunch"; and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile.

For Susanna, volunteering at the House is still very fulfilling. She notes through the new opportunities to raise awareness for Mobile's Ronald McDonald House, from fundraising events such as Girls Just Wanna Have Fun to Little Black Dress and her involvement with the Red Shoe Krewe high-school ambassador program, her volunteer efforts and focus still remains the same, "to make sure families are comfortable" in at their home-away-from-home.
