Become A Family Meal Partner

During their time of medical uncertainty, it is so refreshing for families to be able to look forward to a home cooked meal back at Ronald McDonald House at the end of a long day at the hospital. This is where we can use your help. Providing a meal for the families that stay at the Ronald McDonald House takes away the worry and hassle of food preparation so that the families can give all their energy and attention to their hospitalized child.

We ask that you consider your business or group join us in 2015 by helping provide meals for our families. This is a volunteer activity that is great for groups such as businesses, service organizations, corporate teams, high school clubs, college organizations, etc. Information about Family Meals can be found here

Help us kick off 2015 with your support of our Family Meal program. If you are interested in preparing a meal for families staying at our House, please contact Brad DePriest at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile by calling 251-694-6873.

Give to our Share-A-Night Fund and sponsor a family for $12 a night, $84 a week, $360 a month - what ever amount you desire.

Our Share-A-Night Fund helps to offset the operational cost to accommodate families who stay at our Ronald McDonald House. For many families, even $12 per night is out of reach, but no family has ever been turned away because of an inability to pay.

In fact, over half the families who stay at Mobile's Ronald McDonald House are unable to make a donation. Your donation will help ensure all families continue to find a home-away-from- home at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile when they face the challenge of caring for an ill or injured child.

Satsuma Police Department sponsors 3rd Annual 'Elf Round Up'

The Satsuma Police Department will be assisting Santa again this year with rounding up his mischievous elves in the 3rd Annual 'Elf Round Up'. Officers are "asking" parents or residents along the Gulf Coast that if they know of an elf who may need a little "talking to" for their elf antics, to please bring him/her to the Satsuma Police Department on Friday, December 12. They will begin "booking" elves after 6 p.m on that date.

On Saturday morning, December 13, Santa will host a breakfast at the Satsuma Community Center from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. where children can pick up their elves. Tickets for the 'Elf Round Up - Breakfast with Santa' event are $10/person and all proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile. Tickets also include a craft booth for children to purchase and make a gift for parents and/or grandparents.

When families walk into a Ronald McDonald Family Room, we want them to forget they’re in a hospital. Often steps away from a pediatric or intensive care unit, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms offer a place to rest and regroup right at the hospital, just moments away from their sick child.
